Your trusted domestic violence lawyer

When people are served a PFA, they often have no idea that it’s coming. They are then evicted from their home with only the clothes on their back. Melissa R. Montgomery is here to make that process as pain-free as possible by providing details of what should be expected at the hearing, as well as helping to facilitate the process of retrieving clothes, business equipment, and anything else that is needed from the home.

If you’re the one filing a PFA or domestic violence claim, Melissa will help walk you through all the processes and offer legal guidance as needed. Melissa and her team will provide you with the details for your hearing and answer any questions that you might have.

Can the person who filed the PFA still contact the person whom they filed the PFA against?

Yes, they are still able to contact you, but be aware that, if you answer, the person may state that you violated the PFA, which can result in a criminal charge. It’s best to ignore calls and texts, and block their number if necessary.

We can get back to you within 24 hours during the week. Contact us on the weekend, and we’ll schedule something by the next business day!
